A world-class striker turned down PSG
En partance de Chelsea après une saison délicate, Romelu Lukaku aurait été approché par le PSG, mais son unique souhait est de retourner à l’Inter.
Back at Chelsea last summer after a transfer at 113 million euros, Romelu Lukaku has lived a complicated season, not to say nightmare. After scoring 15 goals in 44 matches in all competitions, the Belgian international (102 caps, 68 goals) has never managed to really impose himself in Thomas Tuchel’s team and to find the efficiency he had at Inter Milan.
Paris tried his luck
While he announced his desire to leave, the former Inter player would have been approached by Paris Saint-Germain according to Corriere della Sera. The ten-time French champion would indeed seek to strengthen its attack in anticipation of the departure of Mauro Icardi and even Neymar this summer. But unfortunately for the club of the capital, the 29-year-old player has only one idea in mind: return to Inter.
Priority to Inter
Lukaku has indeed made clear his desire to return to the Nerazzuri this summer. An expensive operation but which seems feasible. The Lombardy club could agree on a paid loan of 25 million euros with a compulsory purchase option that amounts to 76 million euros. For his part, the number 9 would be willing to make a significant effort on the salary since he could divide his salary by two, he currently receives 15 million euros per year in London.
If he returns to Milan, he could be joined by Paulo Dybala, who is close to joining the 2021 Italian champion.
