Chelsea targets former Ligue 1 player

To compensate for the possible departure of Marcos Alonso, Chelsea could try to recruit Rayan Aït-Nouri, currently at Wolverhampton.

Chelsea’s biggest project for this summer is in defense. Faced with the end of the contract of Antonio Rüdiger, who left for Real Madrid, and Andreas Christensen, the Blues must also plan for the departure of Marcos Alonso, who wants to return to Spain and is on the table of FC Barcelona. “I have one year left on my contract. I have already said on other occasions that I would like to return to Spain,” he told Radioestadio Noche.

A replacement already found?
The departure of the Spanish fullback would leave only Ben Chilwell as a choice for Thomas Tuchel on the left side, and the English international has not played since November due to a serious knee injury. According to information from the Daily Mail, the 2021 European champions could turn to Rayan Aït-Nouri to compensate for the lack of left back.

Arrived on loan at Wolverhampton from Angers in 2020, the French international hopeful convinced his leaders to buy him (for 11 million euros) and made another good season with Wolves. According to the English media, the London club would be ready to offer 25 million euros to acquire the services of the 21-year-old player, under contract until 2026.

If this transfer were to happen, it would represent a good deal for the SCO, which would have set a percentage of 50% on the resale of their player.
