Former Inter manager convinced of Luka’s transfer
Marco Branca, former sporting director of Inter, is certain that Romelu Lukaku will return to the Lombardy team this summer.
Former Inter Milan manager Marco Branca has no doubt that Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku will return to the Nerazzurri.
The Belgian international is currently pushing to return to Inter this summer. Negotiations are still ongoing between the two, and there is reportedly a €5M difference between the offer and the demand.
“Lukaku does not feel good with Tuchel”
Branca told Sky Italia, “The will of the players has always counted, I don’t think Lukaku particularly wants to change air but simply come back to continue what he did at Inter. In London he did not feel good and did not feel good with (Thomas) Tuchel, he puts forward all his personal comfort with the risk of giving up the economic benefits he enjoys in England.”
“He has shown that his physical and technical characteristics in Serie A are compatible. I do not think he would have particular difficulties to reintegrate at Inter,” continued Branca.
Inter confirms talks for Lukaku
This Thursday, Alessandro Antonello, the general manager of the Italian vice-champions, also spoke about Lukaku: “There is a great desire on the part of Lukaku to return. What needs to be verified is the economic and financial feasibility and the resolution of some technical problems. We will try to do it in the necessary time”.
